Research Associate (Medical Doctor)
James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University calls for applications from appropriate candidates for the position of Research Associate (Medical Doctor) for an initial period of 6 months. The position is subject to renewal based on the performance of the incumbent and fund availability. It is a full-time contractual position at the School of Public Health.
The Research Associate (Medical Doctor) will fulfill the following responsibilities:

Develop project proposals, concept notes, reports and dissemination materials as required;

Develop/translate/pretest instruments for qualitative and quantitative data as required;
-
Supervise as well as directly get involved in the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data as required from individuals, relevant agencies and institutions where data may be available, and to follow-up on such matters;
-
Liaison with SPH office in providing full assistance and support in making all administrative and logistic arrangements, including workshops, meetings, travel, accommodation etc., and any other arrangements as instructed by the Principle
Investigator and/or the Project Coordinator;
-
Carry out any other duties as directed by the Project Coordinator, Researchers and Consultants, as required by the project;

Work closely with other academic, research and clinical training programs at SPH as required.
Academic
qualifications: MBBS degree with postgraduate degrees in
Public/Population Health with Communications and IT skills:
Other
competencies:
-
Strong leadership and team-building skills
-
Excellent writing, speaking and communication ability in English and Bengali
-
Adequate IT skills e.g., Advanced knowledge of MS office (Excel), Internet, SPSS and/or STATA (Knowledge of Atls.ti is an added advantage)
-
At least 1 (one) year of work experience in research and/or health and development field.
