|Dr. Stephen P LUBY
Steve Luby is a physician trained in internal medicine and an epidemiologist who trained at the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC). From 2004 to 2012, Dr. Luby was secunded from CDC and posted into the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) where he directed the Centre for Communicable Diseases. Earlier in his career, he worked for 5 years as an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology for the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He is currently a professor of Infectious Diseases at Stanford University (USA). He is also Director of Research for Stanford’s Center for Innovation in Global Health and a Senior Fellow of Stanford’s Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and the Woods Institute for the Environment. He has been teaching in the BRAC JPG Masters of Public Health program since 2006.
